Frontier Partner Specialisation: What It Takes and What the Audit Wants to See
Frontier Transformation recognition has a new top tier. The Frontier Partner specialisation is Microsoft’s way of identifying partners who can take AI agents from idea to production and keep them secure once they’re there. Earning it brings a customer-facing badge, Frontier-aligned co-sell opportunities, agent-usage credits and Microsoft 365 E7 licences, packaged go-to-market campaigns and Partner of the Year eligibility.
It also comes with a fairly demanding route in. Unlike most specialisations, it isn’t tied to a Solutions Partner designation. Instead it sits on top of four existing specialisations, a new skilling requirement and an evidence-heavy third-party audit. That audit wants to see real customer agents, live in production, with the identity, data protection and monitoring to match.
